Fort Boonesborough Fireside Chat Series

February at Fort Boonesborough means it’s time for our annual Fireside Chat Series. These presentations are done in the Fort blockhouses each Saturday in February. Refreshments and snacks start at 6:00pm in the 18th Century Tavern and the presentation is at 7:00pm in the orientation blockhouse. Admission is $12.00 per person regardless of age. Reservations are required due to limited seating and can be made by calling the park at 859-527-3131 and selecting the option for the business office. If no answer please leave a message. This year’s schedule of presentations is below.
Feb. 3rd – Kentucky Before Boone, presented by Tressa Brown of the Kentucky Heritage Council.
Feb. 10th – Daniel Boone, founder of Fort Boonesborough, presented by Steven Caudill.
Feb. 17th – Daniel Trabue, an early pioneer settler, presented by Richard Phelps.
Feb. 24th – Fleeing the Famine on an Irish Coffin Ship, presented by Carol Jarboe.

Adult D&D Presents: Holiday Havoc

What’s in the box? A dark entity has been released and its influence is spreading across the land. It promises one’s fondest desire, but wishes, even holiday ones, come with a price. Now a group of level 15 adventurers must venture deep into this corrupted landscape to banish the evil there. Hopefully, they will be careful what they wish for. Characters will be pre-made and chosen the day of event. Registration is required.

Gingerbread House Workshop and Wine Class!

I’m dreaming of a gingerbread Christmas! Bring your friends/family, and enjoy and afternoon of crafting the perfect gingerbread house! Welcome this Holiday season at Harkness Edwards Vineyards with these delicious Holiday cupcakes decorated by you! Step by step instruction to create a beautiful masterpiece! Decorate a dozen cupcakes with friends while enjoying one glass of wine from the vineyard with your ticket! **if you need to cancel your class it must be done in writing 48 hours before the class starts. Your canceled class ticket will be applied to only ONE new class date within 3 months from the scheduled class. No refunds given.**

Holiday Cake Decorating Class

Welcome this festive season by creating a beautiful holiday cake. We will be decorating our very own holiday cake and taking it home to share with our friends and families just in time for the holidays! Class Includes: freshly baked and ready to decorate 6-inch vanilla cake, assortment of colorful sprinkles and icing, building board and cake box to take home, guided instruction from start to finish, and one glass of wine with every ticket sold.

Holidays at Hogwarts Cooking Class

Saturday, December 2nd, 4:00 – 6:00 P.M.

Dear Witches and Wizards, Join us for a magical time, where you will enter the world of Hogwarts Grand Dinning Hall and be sorted into your houses. Each house will prepare a three course meal to please any member of the Ministry of Magic! Dinner will include a ‘Gillyweed” salad to start, the Yule Ball Goulash for the main course, and make your very own Butter Beer to enjoy with you Pumpkin Pasties! Godric Gryffindor even brought his Bacon Cheddar Ale Bread for our young witches and wizards to enjoy! Each witch or wizard will receive one glass of wine with their ticket to Hogwarts.
