GRC State Champion Boys Basketball Team Parade

Clark County Public Schools, GRC, and the Winchester/Clark County community will celebrate our State Champion Boys Basketball team with a parade through downtown beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 26.
The parade will end at the Courthouse where a ceremony will take place honoring the coaches and players.
We hope everyone will come out and celebrate with us as we recognize the team who brought home Clark County’s first state basketball championship in 71 years.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled.

9th Annual Run for the Paws 5K Run/Walk Benefiting the Clark County Animal Shelter

Save the Date! We’re SO EXCITED to announce the date of the 9th Annual Run for the Paws 5K Run/Walk! With proceeds benefiting Clark County Animal Shelter, the May 21, 2022 is the date, and we have two new fun additions this year!
Not feeling the full 5K? Run/walk it with a friend by joining the 2-person relay! This option allows each participant to complete one loop of the 2-loop race to Run for the Paws!
Have littles who love to run? Our FIRST EVER “Doggone Fun Run” will kick-off before our big run this year, with Child Watch available after so the full family can participate! The Doggone Fun Run is a shorter sprint run for children aged 7 and under. Shorter the run but just as much fun!

Donnie is a songwriter from Eastern Kentucky blending indie, folk and rock in unique ways. Combined with the vocal talent of Winchester’s Brett Higgins; this show is not to be missed!

Duncan Shadrack LIVE at Wildcat Willy’s Distillery

Duncan is an American Singer – Songwriter who’s musical style ranges from country to R&B. Though he calls Kentucky home, his musical roots and influences are just as vast as the music he plays. Duncan’s unique original music has led him to open for numerous national artists and to perform the national anthem throughout the country. He has written, recorded and released two original CD projects and has more on the way. Whether performing as a solo artist or with his band, Duncan is sure to move you with his entertaining style.

Earth Day Celebration!

We are excited to announce the Save the Date for our second annual Earth Day Celebration at Legacy Grove Park in Winchester.
We will be updating this event page as we start firming up our activities for the day.
What to expect:
Legacy Grove not only wants to celebrate having a space that is safe, clean, and beautiful but also inspire and provide opportunities for others to be part of keeping our community beautiful and celebrating the great spaces we have in Clark County!
We will launch the day with a Litter Clean Up at the park at 9am and area in Clark County, with a grill-out from Clark County Farm Bureau and will have educational activities, games, and opportunities to get involved!

Learn how to assemble your very own brunch charcuterie board, sip mimosas and learn the basics in this interactive and instructional course. -charcuterie 101 -selection of products -how much supplies for my guest? -what arrangement should I use? You will assemble your very own brunch board with a selection of pastries, meats, cheeses, fruits, and additional components to make an aesthetically pleasing masterpiece! Socialize with friends and other classmates for a day to please any palate! You will have time to enjoy the perfect brunch board with your special guest! Harkness Edwards Vineyards will have their special Mother’s Day Mimosa’s available! Brownings Flower Truck guides you through a hands-on experience of making unique flower crowns. After you’re crowned with your beautiful masterpiece you’re invited to stay and enjoy a fun-filled evening drinking wine and modeling your crown at the vineyard!
The perfect way to celebrate spring with friends and loved ones at a relaxing venue on a Sunday afternoon.

Spring Fling!

To kickoff the spring season we are celebrating with a bulb bar, flower crowns, and of course cocktails!
All day Sunday we will have a bulb bar setup where you can choose a variety of spring bulbs to pot for the season. Terracotta pots and soil will be available to pick up as well, so you can leave completely prepared for spring!
Brownings Flower Truck will be at the vineyard from 2-4p to build flower crowns with their beautiful assortment of flowers. *Purchase tickets to participate in flower crowns.*
Spring cocktails will be served and all day during the festivities! Come and enjoy the beautiful day with loved ones and come kickoff spring at Harkness Edwards Vineyards!
This event is free to attend all day for bulb bar and cocktails. *Flower crowns will require a ticket to be participate*

The 1778 Siege of Fort Boonesborough

Battle re-enactment at 2 pm each day. Come early and spend the day learning about 18th century life in Kentucky, and also visit the Native Camps.

Hands on History for Kids

Hands On History for Kids lets children participate as they learn about life in the 18th century. Some common work represented will be, churning, grinding corn, cooking on an open fire, using a drop spindle, and much, much more!
