“Just when you thought Clark County, Kentucky couldn’t be any cheesier!”
Less than a year after introducing the BEER CHEESE TRAIL to the world, The Winchester-Clark County Tourism Commission is proud to announce the Trail is DOUBLING in size from four restaurant locations to eight.
Featured in Cooking with Paula Dean, Kentucky Monthly, and cincinattimagazine.com, the Trail has been conquered by “foodies” from coast to coast (17 cities in six states), as they have blazed their own trail to Clark County, Kentucky, the “Official Birthplace of Beer Cheese”. It really is, as signified by the signing of House Bill 54 by Governor Steve Beshear.
New to the Trail for 2014, are: Stinky & Coco’s, Graze Market & Café, The Waterfront Restaurant & Lounge, and Gaunces Deli & Café. They will join Hall’s on the River, JK’s at Forest Grove, Woody’s Sports Bar & Grill, and DJ’s Bar and Grill, serving everything from spreads to soups to burgers and anything else you can smother in Beer Cheese.
Conquering all eight stops along the Trail results in the award of several “cheesy” prizes such as an official, “I Conquered the Beer Cheese Trail”
t-shirt. Just added for 2014, “con-taste-tadors” also receive a cheesy certificate designating them an official Beer Cheese ambassador and a chance to be selected as an official judge in the amateur beer cheese contest at the Beer Cheese Festival June, 2015, of next year.
