A LETTER FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Greetings to the Winchester/Clark County Community & Valued Guests,
Our beloved community of Winchester, the entire state of Kentucky, the United States, and communities around the world are ALL experiencing extremely difficult times due to the outbreak of the Corona COVID-19 virus. Collectively, our hearts go out to those suffering from illness or grieving for lost loved ones. From young to old, from small business to corporations, from loss of jobs to loss of everyday rhythms… we ALL are being affected. However, we ALL are in this together.
Be assured that your community leaders in city government, tourism, law enforcement, etc. all have your safety and continued prosperity at the center of every decision we make. To that end, our Visitor Center has closed to the public, but our team is still working to support local businesses and we will continue to creatively promote how wonderful Winchester/Clark County is for its citizens and future visitors alike. In fact, we’ve created this informational flyer listing local restaurants that you can support, hotels that are open and activities that you can still do in our community allowing you to get some fresh air and pass the time. Check these out!
What can you do? That’s easy. Continue to follow the guidelines being set forth by local, state and federal leaders. Please, abide by social distancing guidelines. Support your local restaurants by ordering carry-out, curbside or delivery. Let your family and friends know that our hotels are OPEN when they are ready to travel again. Most importantly, share your personal photos, memories and stories about how strong and special this community is. Winchester — where original experiences can be discovered each and every day.
