SUMMARY:Fort Boonesborough Fireside Chat Series
DESCRIPTION:February at Fort Boonesborough means it’s time for our annual Fireside Chat Series. These presentations are done in the Fort blockhouses each Saturday in February. Refreshments and snacks start at 6:00pm in the 18th Century Tavern and the presentation is at 7:00pm in the orientation blockhouse. Admission is $12.00 per person regardless of age. Reservations are required due to limited seating and can be made by calling the park at 859-527-3131 and selecting the option for the business office. If no answer please leave a message. This year’s schedule of presentations is below.   Feb. 3rd – Kentucky Before Boone, presented by Tressa Brown of the Kentucky Heritage Council.   Feb. 10th – Daniel Boone, founder of Fort Boonesborough, presented by Steven Caudill.   Feb. 17th – Daniel Trabue, an early pioneer settler, presented by Richard Phelps.   Feb. 24th – Fleeing the Famine on an Irish Coffin Ship, presented by Carol Jarboe.\n
