LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
The Kentucky soda with a cult following is unveiling a new, limited-edition flavor.
Ale-8-One will soon release a Blackberry flavor.
“The brand’s newest flavor blends the fresh summer taste of blackberries with the Ale-8-One signature formula,” a brand representative said.
The new flavor will officially launch Memorial Day weekend, but there are several sampling events leading up until then.
One is at Louisville Cream at 1 p.m. on May 21. On May 25, there will be an event at Sauerbeck Family Drive-In in LaGrange at 8 p.m.
Ale-8 is nearly 100 years old. In that time, only two other flavors have been introduced: Orange Cream and Cherry. They also have sugar-free versions and caffeine-free, as well.
